The Democratic Party needs an insurgency from the Left to displace Biden or Trump will be sworn in January 2025 from some cushy minimum security prison and we'll be back to the Theater of the Absurd. What Trump has going for him is that he offers something other than politics as usual--which much of the electorate (rightly) can no longer abide. The problem is that he's Trump. The DNC thinks they can take that to the bank. They thought the same in 2016. Were Shakespeare alive today the line would be: "Lord what fools these Liberals be!"
