Liberal Vs. Left Libertarian

Ways to tell a Liberal from a Left Libertarian: Liberals wish to tell the rest of the world how to run their own affairs; Left Libertarians wish to see conditions prevail that will permit the rest of the world to run their own affairs as they see fit. Annals of American Psychopathology

More evidence that Euro-American civilization is on the skids. Because we have never really taken the time to figure out who, in world-historical terms, we have been and are, we spend an inordinate amount of time and energy asserting to ourselves and others who it is that we believe we are not.

But the latter assertion cannot be credibly made absent a clear understanding of the former. As a result, we appear puny and foolish in the eyes of those who know us better than we know ourselves.

Islamophobia, like other forms of bigotry, ought to be beneath us. Instead, we are sinking beneath it.
