The cynical embrace of identity politics by those who are right-of-center (and that includes MOST Democrats) is bearing fruit within the establishment. Liberals anxious to assuage their own guilt through superficial means (or simply cynical themselves) support this trend and, as usual, are part of the problem--not part of the solution.
